Educ 231E - Statistical Analysis with Latent Variables
Cross-listed as M231E (Spring 2004)
Web Seminars
Web seminars on the general modeling capabilities of Mplus are available as a complement to the course. Click on http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/seminars/ to watch analyses demonstrating the Mplus integration of structural equation modeling, growth modeling, mixture modeling (latent class analysis), multilevel modeling, and combinations of such modeling. This web site provides a series of seminars recorded by the ATS group at UCLA in streaming video on the web. Using the new version 3 of the Mplus program, the first seminar gives an overview and examples of the many unique modeling capabilities, while subsequent seminars discuss modeling applications in the areas of latent class analysis, discrete-time survival analysis, and modeling with a preponderance of zeros (zero inflation). For a quick perusal of the variety of examples covered in this modeling framework, see the list of 125 examples included in the new User's Guide at http://www.statmodel.com/ugexcerpts.html.
