Hi, I'm running SEM and received the following message:

THE STANDARD ERRORS OF THE MODEL PARAMETER ESTIMATES COULD NOT BE
COMPUTED. THE MODEL MAY NOT BE IDENTIFIED. CHECK YOUR MODEL.
PROBLEM INVOLVING THE FOLLOWING PARAMETER:
Parameter 157, INT_T4 WITH WCI_T4

THE CONDITION NUMBER IS -0.258D-07.

THE ROBUST CHI-SQUARE COULD NOT BE COMPUTED.

A colleague of mine suggested I may be able to ignore the issue and report the poor overall fit statistics anyway -- This is for a competing model I'm running against our hypothesized model, so reporting poor fit would mean we wouldn't be interpreting path coefficients, we'd just end the convo at the poor fit determination.

Is reporting poor fit acceptable when an error message comes out like that? Thanks!

You should understand why you get the message. IT should not be ignored. Please send the output and your license number to support@statmodel.com.
