Hi! Could you please advise what is the ANOVA command in Mplus? I am trying to compare 5 groups on a number of continuous variables. I am using cross-sectional data. Thank you! |

There is no ANOVA command in Mplus. The ANOVA model regresses a continuous observed variable on a categorical independent variable. If the independent variable is nominal with 5 unordered categories, you need to create 4 dummy variables. |

Hello, I am trying to use the ANOVA model in Mplus, so I regress a continuous observed variable on a categorical independent variable. A categorical independent variable has four groups and I create three dummy variables. I would like ask whether the mean of the reference group is the value of an intercept in model results. If I would like to obtain the first groups' mean, could I add the estimate coefficient of the first group to the mean of the reference group? |

Yes on both. |
