Hello all,

I am exploring Mplus for multilevel modeling. It looks very interesting, but I can't seem to find a possibility to request pairwise testing (contrasts) of fixed effects. The equivalent in SAS would be the ESTIMATE-statement in PROC MIXED, or in Mlwin the ftest-command.

Is it possible to request those statistics, or (approximately) calculate them from the Mplus output?

thanks,

Maarten

You give "labels" to the fixed effect parameters, say b1 and b2, and then use Model Test to test say their equality:

Model Test:

0 = b1-b2;

That was indeed what I was looking for.

Thanks for the fast response & the very capable software-package.
