Hi,

I want to run a three level model with Q measured at four times points (level 1) so that I can examine variability between participants (level 2) and betweem classes of participants (level 3). I just really want to check that I'm using the correct syntax please.

Cluster=class;
Analysis: Type=twolevel;
Model: %within%
I S | Q1@0 Q2@1 Q3@2 Q4@3
%between%
I S | Q1@0 Q2@1 Q3@2 Q4@3

Other than specifying which variables I want to include etc, do I need to include anything else?

Any help you could give is greatly appreciated as I'm new to MLM.

Thanks

Josie

You want to give different names for the growth factors on Between, such as ib, sb. Otherwise it looks ok. See the handout for Topic 8 on the web site - under 3-level analysis.
