I am a PhD student so please forgive my limited understanding of this topic... I was wondering if there is some way in which the (r3step) command can be used to regress a categorical latent variable (latent class) onto another categorical latent class variable? In other words, would it be possible to ask Mplus to run: "AUXILIARY = cx(r3step)" where cx is a latent class? Could this be achieved by specifying something like: MODEL cx: %cx#1% [u1$1-u4$1]; %cx#2% [u1$1-u4$1]; MODEL cy: %cy#1% [y1-y4]; %cy#2% [y1-y4]; %cy#3% [y1-y4]; Or would Latent Transition Analysis be the more appropriate approach (my data are measured at only one time point)? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

The AUXILIARY list is for observed variables not used in the analysis. Latent Transition Analysis requires more than one time point. |
