Hi, I am running a two-part LCGA and I was just wondering what Mplus does with the zeros when sorting the classes? Do the zeros get dropped or are they incorporated into the classes? Thank you. |

Sorry I have one more related question - 1/3 of my sample have zero values for all timepoints. Will Mplus identify a zero class or do I have to do that myself? |

Zeros don't get dropped but become part of a class. You can specify a zero class but if you don't specify such a class, often the subjects who have all zeroes fall in the same class as those who have a few non-zeros and get a better BIC than using a zero class - that is, they are similar to those that have a few non-zeros. |
