Hi, I have the following model

if sf|fadw1@0 fadw2@1 fadw3@2;
is ss|sa61@0 sa62@1 sa63@2;
fadw1 with sa61(1);
fadw2 with sa62(1);
fadw3 with sa63(1);
sf on is;
ss on if;
IS with IF;
Sf with SS;
depression on if is sf ss;<-----(1)

The results show that the signs of the mean of the two slope (IS and SS) were negative. For both attributes, higher the score means better family situation. However, the results also showed that the two slopes have positive effects on depression (IS->depression = 1.48; SS->depression=2.64). But this is counterintuitive because higher score on depression means lower level of depression. Hence, the path results would indicate that greater IS (decreased more in family cohesion) have positive effects on depression (lower level of depression).
I have hard time to interpret the above results, would you mind to help me?
Thank you.

You should ask this general interpretation question on SEMNET. Also, note that IS is not a slope as you say.
