I am wondering whether it is possible to model a parallel growth curve and survival analysis (either discrete or continuous time) model in Mplus?

Let's assume that you have a growth curve process with 15 measurement points and information on the year of mortality for each observation (during the same time period as the growth curve model).

You are now interested in modeling predictors of both the growth curve and survival model but you would also like the growth curve model to predict your survival outcome.

So, you would have something along the lines of:

i s | y1@0 y2@.1 ... y15@1.4;
f by u1-u15@1;

i s f on x;
f on i s;

My question is whether there would be some statistical issues with this approach, given that the processes are parallel and not sequential.
