Dear Muthens,
I want to run a twolevel intercept-only- (twolevel) model in order to know the variance of the y-variable at level 2. The y-variable contains missings, so in a first step I did a multiple imputation of missings (example 11.5, user guide 7).

In a second step I tried to use the imputated datasets to run an intercept-only- model. Mplus runs the model without error messages, but I cannot find the output. When I run a simple path analysis the output is displayed without any problems.

Can it be that this stepwise procedure cannot be used for twolevel analyses? Considering this, I tried to include the "data imputation" command in the inp-file for the intercept-only model. However, if I use variables for the imputation that are not needed for the analysis of the model, the variance at level 2 is not displayed.

How can I run a simple intercept-only model using an imputated data set?

Thank you very much in advance for your answer,
Claudia

You can look at UG ex 11.8 and modify that for your purposes.

But perhaps you want to use a set of other variables to impute missing on the y variable. In that case, please send your relevant inputs, outputs, and data to Support along with your license number.
