Hello all,

My lab has come up against a wall with an unusual problem. We are working with a data set that has a lot of missing data (MCAR), but 183 cases that we wish to include in the analysis. However, every time we run, MPlus reports 112 observations - we have tried turning listwise on and off, have specified our analyses as basic, missing, and estimator = ml, but none of it makes a difference. We have examined the raw data and there are indeed 183 cases. We have left the missing values blank and specified that with "missing = ." Any ideas of what we are doing wrong?

If the missing values are blanks, the data will be read incorrectly with free format. I'm not sure why you would specify MISSING=. if the missing values are blanks.
