Drs. Muthen,

I am trying to compare a model that is has 4 correlated factors to a model that has the 4 factors loading on a second order factor. I believe these models are nested. The data are categorical and the estimator I am using is WLSMV. I cannot seem to figure out how to get the DIFFTEST command to compare the two models. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The second-order factor model is nested in the other model. You should run the four correlated factor model first when you save the difftest file. If you have a problem, send the outputs and your license number to support@statmodel.com.
