Hello:

In the Mplus code at the end of this post, is nosay treated as an ordinal variable in the equation nosay on leftrigh age; and as a continuous variable in the equation nosay on leftrigh age;

Yes. This is a weakness of the ML approach which is avoided when using WLSMV and can be avoided using Bayes.
