Hi,

I am trying to establish configural invariance between two groups that are clustered (type= complex), the items are categorical variables (parametrization= theta); WLMSV estimator is being used. There are around 45 items in my model.
When I try to establish configural invariance (so around 90 items in the total model), the model takes several hours to run. Is this normal?

Thank you,

Sun

This is computationally demanding, more so if the items have more than two categories. How long it takes depends on the configuration of your computer.

Dear Professor Muthen,

Thank you so much for your reply.
Do you know what configuration on my computer is best to make the process a little faster?
Thank you,

Sun

You should have at least 4 processors.
