I am following example 5.27 to test for measurement invariance across age of EFA factors.

Do I have to chop age up into groups? Is there a way to test for measurement invariance and leave age as a continuous variable?

Thank you.

You can use age as a covariate and explore direct effects on the EFA factor indicators using ESEM. This informs about intercept measurement invariance.
