Good morning,

I ran a very simple Exploratory Bi-Factor Analysis

DATA: FILE = File name here;
VARIABLE: NAMES = Itm1-Itm15;
ANALYSIS: TYPE = EFA 2 3;
ROTATION = BI-GEOMIN;

And have a few questions:

1. In the table "BI-GEOMIN ROTATED LOADINGS" is the first factor "1" the general factor?

2.How do I read the residual variances are labeled for "1" - does that mean, this is the residual for the general factor after variances factor 2 has been accounted for?

Thank you in advance for the help!

1. Yes.

2. If you are referring to the left-most "1" for the residual variance row, please ignore. The column headings here are for the variables.
