I have a good fitting model, but three of the variables in my model (which have significant paths from the exogenous variables to them, have NS paths to the DVs(they are "hanging", but they are significantly correlated with eachother and are theoretically relevant).
when I run my model, Mplus correlates these three hanging variables with the DVs, although these correlations are NS.
I am not sure what to do since I want to keep them in the model,but I dont know if its ok to keep hanging variables, or keep ns correlations between them and the DVs....
can you please help?
