Hello,

I am working on a huge data set which includes a variety of clinical data. Some of the variables have non-positive/negative values (e.g., -15, -186). I would like to run CFA, and was wondering if I can square them so that all values become positive. I am in the filed of social science, and never had this issue before. Could you advise? Thank you in advance,

Variables can have positive and negative numbers.

Thank you so much Linda. How about in EFA using Mplus?
