I am used to using AMOS where you can look at errors in the diagram and correlate them, and they also appear in the modification indices. I don't understand how to do this using MPlus. Thank you. |

The WITH option is used to covary residuals. You will find these WITH statements in the modification index output. |

Thank you. So if I write for example- Y1 WITH Y2 does this mean that I ask for the errors to be correlated, not the indicators themselves? |

If they are factors indicators, they are endogenous variables so it is the residuals that are correlated. For exogenous variables, it is the covariance between the variables. |
