Hello, I need help with my research and I would appreaciate if somebody could answer me. I'm doing CFA on binary data. Now, I've read in mplus manual that you are supposed to use WLSMV. I wrote it like this in my input:
TITLE: Confirmatory factor analysis RMETA;

DATA: FILE IS rmet.txt;

VARIABLE: NAMES ARE r1-r36;

CATEGORICAL ARE r1-r36;

MISSING ARE ALL (99);

ANALYSIS: ESTIMATOR=WLSMV;

MODEL:
RMET BY r1-r36;

SAVEDATA: DIFFTEST IS deriv.dat;

this is supposed to be the first step, and the 2nd one is:
TITLE: Confirmatory factor analysis RMETA;
DATA: FILE IS RMET.txt;
VARIABLE: NAMES ARE r1-r36;
CATEGORICAL ARE r1-r36;
ANALYSIS: DIFFTEST IS deriv.dat;
MODEL: RMET by r1-r36;
When I did this, in my output it said that the Chi square could not be calculated since model H0 was not embeded in the H1 model. Could you please help me fix the problem? I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong with my input and I really need CFA for my master thesis research.

I don't see a difference between your 2 models so there is no difference to be tested.
