Hello,

Is it possible to run an ESEM analysis on ordinal data using the estimator MLR?
It seems to work if I don't specify "CATEGORICAL", but when I do, I got the following message:
"EFA factors are not allowed with ALGORITHM=INTEGRATION."

Cheers.

No, you cannot use maximum likelihood with categorical outcomes for ESEM.

Hi Dr. Muthen,

Is it possible to calculate AIC, BIC for ESEM models with categorical data if MLR is not an option? I am asking because an article reported AIC, BIC for different ESEM models even their data are categorical and they were using estimator = MLR.

You need ML or MLR to get AIC and BIC.
