Hello,

I am new to MPlus and I can not figure out why MPlus does not yield the RMSEA-index with some syntaxes. Can someone help me out?

Thanks!

Here is my syntax;
VARIABLE: NAMES = id lft lftlk anc gesl lftm lftv oplm oplv inkom mat nkind
ouder1-ouder60 lav1-lav6 lat1-lat7 kind1-kind39 lka1-lka52
lkb1-lkb10 grafrs grafrel gratijd1 graf2 gratijd2 ranst
rantijd as fa wo dttl cijfer fb leestemp doener denker beslis bezinner;
USEVARIABLES ARE grafrs leestemp graf2 as fa wo fb cijfer
kind20 kind26 kind27 kind31 kind36 kind39 DTTLb RAN ;
CATEGORICAL ARE kind20 kind26 kind27 kind31 kind36 kind39;

DEFINE: DTTLb = dttl/3;
RAN = rantijd/4;

ANALYSIS: ESTIMATOR=ML

MODEL: f1 BY grafrs graf2;
f2 BY as fa;
f3 BY DTTLb leestemp;
KF1 BY kind20 kind26 kind27 kind31 kind36 kind39;

f1 ON f2 wo RAN;
f3 ON f1 cijfer fb KF1;

Whenever you get a chi-square, you should get an RMSEA.

It looks like numerical integration is required for you analysis. In this case, chi-square and related fit statistics are not available because means, variances, and covariances are not sufficient statistics for model estimation.
