Hi,
I'm running a multilevel SEM (2-1-2).
IV is a dichotomous variable.

When fixing within variance to 0, I can get parameter estimates, but not fit indices.

ANALYSIS: TYPE IS TWOLEVEL RANDOM;

MODEL:
%WITHIN%
Detach_C LSATP_C@0 Ncond@0;

%BETWEEN%
LSATP_C;
Detach_C;
Ncond@1;
LSATP_C@1;

Detach_C ON Ncond(a);
LSATP_C ON Detach_C(b1);

LSATP_C ON Ncond;

OUTPUT: TECH1 TECH8 CINTERVAL;

Could you help troubleshoot and how I could obtain fit indices?

Thanks!

Some additional info for my analysis:

Given that the predictor is a dichotomous condition variable. We ran into errors when specifying condition(IV) as BETWEEN. Error claims within person variation exists in condition.

Examined data itself and did not identify errors.

Error goes away if fix within variance to = 0, but still cannot compute fit indices.
