Hi there,

I'm encountering a very odd problem with Mplus. Whenever I try to simulate data via the Monte Carlo function, Mplus runs as normal and no error appears in the Output, yet, the data file has not been created (or if it has, I cannot locate it).

I tried to solve this problem by editing SAVE = name*.dat
to read
SAVE = \Mpib06\affect\11. Stud. Hilfskraefte + Praktikanten\Grace O'Malley\attemptdata*.dat;

...this didn't help. Because there are no options or default settings with the programme, I don't know how to fix this error. When my colleague uses the same data file, and performs the exact same function, but via her computer (although we use the same server), the problem doesn't occur, and she successfully creates a data file.

Thank you in advance for any ideas or solutions any of you may have to this problem.

Grace

montecarlo:

ncsizes = 1;
csizes = 100 (5);
within = x1;
between = w;
REPSAVE = ALL;

If the same input runs on another computer, I would think you may not have write priveleges to the directory \Mpib06\affect\11. Stud. Hilfskraefte + Praktikanten
\Grace O'Malley. I would try writing to another directory.

Thank you so much! This was exactly the problem.
