Hello. Could you explain the syntax for the third last line in Ex 7.16 please? viz: [u1$1-u4$1*-1]; I wish to incorporate partial conditional independence between two indicators in my LCA model, but I have six indicators and not four. Many thanks! |

The partial conditional independence in that example is shown by the factor f. The syntax you show gives starting values of -1 to the thresholds of u1 through u4. |
