Dear Prof.,
My syntax of LPA was as followed:
"TITLE: ;
DATA: FILE IS parent and school.dat;
VARIABLE: NAMES ARE SCHID STUID x1-x4 y1-y3 z1-z4 w;
USEVARIABLES = x1-x4 z1-z4;
WEIGHT = ;
MISSING ARE ALL (9997 9998 9999);
CLASSES = c (3);
CATEGORICAL = ;
AUXILIARY = ;
ANALYSIS: TYPE = MIXTURE;
OUTPUT: TECH1 TECH7 TECH10 TECH11 TECH14;"

Mplus can output p value of BLRT,but also gives the warnning like:
" WARNING: THE BEST LOGLIKELIHOOD VALUE FOR THE 2 CLASS MODEL FOR THE GENERATED DATA
WAS NOT REPLICATED IN 3 OUT OF 5 BOOTSTRAP DRAWS. THE P-VALUE MAY NOT BE TRUSTWORTHY
DUE TO LOCAL MAXIMA. INCREASE THE NUMBER OF RANDOM STARTS USING THE LRTSTARTS OPTION."

So how can I change the syntax to get a trustworthy BLRT? Can you give a example about the syntax?

Thanks for your support!

Look at Mplus Web Note 14 on our website. If this doesn't help, send output and license number to Support.
