Hello,

I have two variables A and B which were each measured at 7 timepoints.

When I run two separate growth curve models, the intercepts and the slopes for both models (A and B) are significant.

When I run a parallel growth curves model in which the intercepts and slopes for A and B are allowed to correlate with each other, the slopes are no longer significant.

I am not sure I understand why slopes would no longer be significant when both sets of variables are entered in the model simultaneously? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!
