I am doing a multiple imputation following example 11.5 in the user guide. I specified a file to be saved called GCimp*.dat. The model produces 10 imputed data files GCimp1.dat to GCimp10.dat but I do not get one labelled GCimplist.dat. It does produce a file called GCimp*.dat but I am not sure what this is. So the second input file cannot find the appropriate file to conduct the imputation. the command file I used is below. thanks for your help. TITLE: two latent class growth analysis adults ; DATA: FILE IS "mplus4.csv"; FORMAT IS free; VARIABLE: NAMES ARE (removed to save space); USEVARIABLES ARE AVOTE6 BVOTE6 CVOTE6 DVOTE6 EVOTE6 FVOTE6 gvote6 hvote6 ivote6 jvote6 KVOTE6 LVOTE6 MVOTE6 NVOTE6 sex oneorg twoplusorg private secmodern party pardegree parnoqual working petty othercls ; MISSING ARE ALL (999); DATA IMPUTATION: IMPUTE = avote6-nvote6 (c); NDATASETS = 10; SAVE = "GCimp*.dat"; ANALYSIS: TYPE = BASIC; OUTPUT: TECH8; |

you might need to make one. save a small textfile containing this list:- GCimp1.dat GCimp2.dat GCimp2.dat GCimp3.dat GCimp4.dat GCimp5.dat GCimp6.dat GCimp7.dat GCimp8.dat GCimp9.dat GCimp10.dat and put it with the datafiles |

If you are not using Version 6.12, please download it. If you are, please send the files to support@statmodel.com. |

I have done that and I just get an error message saying the file cannot be found. I've checked it over and over and the spelling is correct. I've also tried moving to another directory but still same message. Suggestions? |

is your input file, your imputed data and your textfile all in the same directory? |
|

all the files are in the same directory. I am using Mplus for Mac, I think it is 6.2 but I can't see how to check the version; there is no help menu. thanks again, Patrick |

The version is printed at the top of the output. |

version is 6.12 (Mac) |

Hi, do you have any advice on this? I'm still not getting any results. Thanks, Patrick |

can you paste a couple of lines of the textfile containing your list of datasets? I have a feeling something may be up with that. |
