I have a simple model where I test stability only for a variable measured at two time points.

I have 268 cases at Time 1 and 242 cases at Time 2. If I use listwise deletion, I would have 227 cases in total.

When I estimate the model (Time2 ON Time1), the model constantly give me the sample size of 227. Shouldn't I have 268 cases because of the default missing data estimation in MPlus?

I tested the same model with different variables, and I have no such problem.

Do you have any idea about how to solve this issue?

Thanks

Your printout should say at least 268 cases with the default missing data handling in Mplus (unless you are using a very old version). Why don't you request PATTERNS in the OUTPUT command to see your missing situation.
