I have a question about using the CENTER and DEFINE commands. If I am doing analyses with multiple imputation data sets and use the CENTER command will the variables be centered within each separate data set? In addition, if I want to create interaction terms using the centered variables it seems from reading the manual that when using the center command that it computes any other define commands prior to centering? If this is the case, is there a way to save the centered variables within each of the multiple imputation data sets so that it can be used in a later analyses to use the DEFINE command to create interaction terms. |

You would need to CENTER in each imputed data set and save them. Then use the saved data sets to create the interaction term while using TYPE=IMPUTATION. In the next release, this will be done in one step. |

Thanks for the quick reply! Do you have an idea for the next release date? |
