Hi,
I am preparing data to export from SPSS to Mplus.
I am replacing the missing values on each variable with .99 (a missing value flag).
In SPSS, Besides the values for each variable, I have created columns for the Total and Mean of that variable.
I have the following questions:
1. I am assuming that after replacing the missing values for each person on a specific Variable I need to recalculate the Total for that variable again.
1. Also, Do I need to replace the missing values in Total and Mean with .99 as well and then export them to Mplus?

Q1: Right. You want to only use the non-missing values for Total and Mean.
Q2: If all subjects have missing on a variable, then Total and Mean should be given a missing value. |
