Dear Drs Muthen,

I have run multiple imputation on my dataset and have created a set of 5 imputed datasets. There were a total of 72 variables in the original dataset - 70 dichotomous variables which I ran the imputation on and 2 other variables - cluster and gender. I have two issues:

1. In the imputed datasets, the gender variable has been dropped. Is there any way to specify keeping this in as I need it for further analysis?

2. When I try to define 5 new variables using the 70 imputed variables, the input seems to run with no errors but the new variables do not appear in the saved data file. Maybe I am specifying something incorrectly. I have used the SAVEDATA and FILE IS commands.

Many thanks,
Jaclyn
