hi all, i am new to this forum and not yet experienced in using Mplus. i'd like to do a very simple CFA with a syntax like "MODEL: factor1 BY bi06 bi05 bi04 bi07 ; factor2 BY bi13 bi27 bi28 ;" Mplus always returns the factor loadings (estimates) on a metric that yields an estimate of 1 for factor1 BY bi06. how can i get the results on the correlation metric as usually reported in papers? the "OUTPUT: STANDARDIZED;" option appears to be ignored (like the "CATEGORICAL ARE.." option). i didn't find the answer in the manual. many thanks in advance, michael |

UG Chapter 16 has examples of using the BY command to do what you want. You just free all loadings and fix the factor variances, e.g. f1 BY y1-y6*; f1@1; Regarding the standardized and categorical options, please send your input, output, data, and license number to support@statmodel.com. |
