Hi,

I am trying to test measurement invariance between three groups, while controlling for the effect of gender on each of the factors. I have a two factor model, with three indicators per model and n=1057 subjects. I am using the new 7.1 Model features which test for configural, metric and scalar invariance. When I go to add the gender variable (gender ON f1; gender ON f2;) I get an error message. Is there another way to do this?

Thank you for your help.

These options allow only BY statements.

Thank you for your speedy response! So does this mean if I want to control for gender's impact on the factors, I have to go back to testing configural, metric, and scalar invariance using the 7.0 method?

Thanks,
Emily
