Hi,

I'm trying to run a CFA on some data, where I have a number of different factor levels. This is the model element of my input, where the number indicates the level, e.g. 3 being the 3rd level:

Model:

3LC BY EmoImp_1 EmoImp_2 LosSel_1 LosSel_2;
3GA BY ImpLoo_1 ImpLoo_2;
3MOOD BY OffImp_1 OffImp_2 SocEmo_1 SocEmo_2;
3MC BY MorCon_1 MorCon_2;

3OOP BY Diff_1 Diff_2;
3II BY ImpImm_1 ImpImm_2;
2P BY Pres_1 Pres_2;
2CI BY ChaInf_1 ChaInf_2;

3CE BY 2P 2CI;

*See note at end

Emotion BY 3LC 3GA 3MOOD 3MC;

Nature BY 3OOP 3II 3CE;

Self BY 3CCR 3ID 3LI 3MCHAR 3OCS 3RP;

Social BY 3DR 3F 3SR;

Motivate BY 3E 3OM;

Output:
Standardized Sampstat;

When I try to run it, I get an error message saying

*** ERROR
Error in parsing line:
"3E 3OM"

I've never tried this multi-level approach before, normally just loading the individual variables onto the Emotion, Nature, Self, Social, and Motivate factors. So, it might well all be wrong. Any advice would be much appreciated.

*Note - I've had to cut out some of the material due to message size restrictions, but that stuff is more of the same.

Thanks,

Sartois
