Dear all,

I have a question regarding a one-factor CFA (5-item factor) with three nesting/cluster variables.

Currently, I can do CFA with only one cluster variable (See my code below). However, I cannot include three cluster variables in the model. I tried to use TYPE= THREELEVEL; or TYPE=COMPLEX THREELEVEL. However, the program gave me the error message. Is there anyone who could help me to figure out the code with a CFA that involve three cluster variables? Thank you in advance for your help!

Ming

P.S. clus1, clus2, and clus 3 are three cluster variables and y1-y5 are five items that belong to one factor. Thank you.

COMPLEX THREELEVEL can have three cluster variables. If you got an error, send the output and your license number to support@statmodel.com.

Thank you Dr. Muthen,

I just renewed my license (SABC70042214) recently. I emailed my questions/output and data to "support@statmodel.com" twice but keep receiving the message: " A problem occurred during the delivery of this message to this e-mail address." Could you please let me know how I can email my questions to "support@statmodel.com." My email is: mhtsai@smu.edu.sg

The message was very long so I pasted the message four times. I'll use my gmail account to send the same message again to see if my school account or your email account causes this failure of email delivery.

Because you have reached me at support@statmodel.com from another email address, it seems the problem is with your university.

I agree with you that the problem is with the university email. I also replied to your email via Gmail account. Thank you for your help.
