Dear Dr Muthen,
I have conducted a CFA on a set of variables and am comparing the indices of fit for three possible models. The best model for my analysis based on theory and statistical fit is the General specific model. However,I have had difficulty in finding a written definition for 'general specific model' in order to compare it to a second order and first order model.I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

See the Topic 1 short course handout. The General-Specific factor model is shown starting at Slide 156. The Second-Order factor model is shown starting at Slide 158.
