In the LISREL program, Lisrel's model solution is usually based on the covariance matrix.
I understand that Mplus accept raw data as data input. In this case, does Mplus calculate the covariance matrix based on the raw data and then calculate the solution? I don't understand what it means by calculating the solution based on raw data. |

| Mplus can use a covariance matrix or raw data. If the covariance matrix is what is needed for the analysis, then Mplus computes a covariance matrix. |
