I am interested in knowing the theoretical range of the latent constructs. The factor scores seem to be mean centered. Can i somehow arrive at a meaningful range for the latent constructs?

Like for e.g., if a factor has 2 items measured on 1-5 scales. Can i say the factor's range is 3-15 or some thing like that by looking at the CFA output?

In a single group CFA,the factors have means of zero and variances are estmimated. The range should be compared to that of a normal variable with such means and variances. For example, if the mean is zero and the variance is one, most scores will be within the range of -3 to plus 3. The factor metric can also be understood with the help of the indicator that has loading one in the sense that when the factor changes one unit, the indicator is expected to change one unit.
