Hello, I'm currently working with a set of date where I have a level one variable (daily observation), nested within participant (level 2 variable). I also have a variety of level 2 variables collected at pretest and a condition code. The problem I am having is with the condition code. Mplus is giving me the following message *** ERROR One or more between-level variables have variation within a cluster for one or more clusters. Check your data and format statement. Between Cluster ID with variation in this variable Variable (only one cluster ID will be listed) COND 2 The thing is i've checked the data (both my SPSS file and the exported .dat file i'm using)and there is no variation on the variable condition for the cluster identified. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. |

Hi Dr. Muthen I hope I have come to the right place for some help on using MPlus. When I analyzed my data using TYPE = THREELEVEL RANDOM with MODEL following EXAMPLE 9.20, I received a fatal error of "THIS MODEL CAN NOT BE ESTIMATED DUE TO EQUALITY BETWEEN RANDOM SLOPES." I have tried to figure out the meaning of the error but to no avail. Would you kindly help, please? Thanks. |
