Dear Dr(s) Muthen:

I have a three level example (students nested in teachers nested in schools) where I expect the relationship between one individual-level variables (student level) to be moderated by a one individual-level variable while one indepented-variable is acting as a simple covariate.

Can I test this hypothesis using Mplus 7.2? If yes, are there any script examples that do this so I can tweak it accordingly?

Thank you VERY much

Yes you can test this. UG ex 9.20 can be used as a starting point. Just add the creation of an interaction variable in DEFINE and include that in the level-1 part of your model.

Hi Dr. Muthen,

That is great! I will start from 9.20 and see how far I can go.

Will come back if I come up with a hiccup.

Thank you very much!

By the way, what is the abbreviation "UG"
that the example 9.20 exists.

Cheers
