Hi,

I have a question regarding the ability of Mplus to calculate confidence intervals of parameters using the delta method.

In particular, I have estimated a multinominal logit model and want to estimate the marginal rate of substitution ( or willingness to pay) of two parameters ( ie ratio of two parameters.

I can easily estimate the point estimate as the ratio of two parameters, (ie b1/b2), but am unsure if Mplus can use the delta method to determine confidence intervals.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

David

Yes, the Delta method kicks in automatically also in this case (in any case you can express in Model Constraint in fact).
