Hello, I am very new to MPlus, but I am involved in a project that has a hierarchical structure. We have different participants (Level 2) providing informations about their emotional state and emotion regulation several times a week through a EMA smartphone app (Level 1) - but I will only filter out events where participants reported anxiety. I would like to predict psychopathology (DV, Level 2, measured once) through anxiety intensity (Level 1, measured at various times during a one week measurement period), effectivity of emotion regulation used (Level 1) and maybe total frequency of anxious events (Level 2, taking together all events reported where paticipants experienced anxiety). Is it possible do to this in MPlus? Could you maybe provide ressources on how to get it started with this kind of research question? Thanks in advance! |

Yes, this can be done in Mplus Version 8. See our Topic 12 Short Course video and handout on Dynamic Structural Equation Modeling of Intensive Longitudinal Data at http://www.statmodel.com/course_materials.shtml |
