I am trying to run an unconditional three-level growth model. When I try running the model I get the following error message:

"THE MODEL ESTIMATION DID NOT TERMINATE NORMALLY DUE TO A CHANGE IN THE LOGLIKELIHOOD DURING THE LAST E STEP.

AN INSUFFICENT NUMBER OF E STEP ITERATIONS MAY HAVE BEEN USED. INCREASE
THE NUMBER OF MITERATIONS OR INCREASE THE MCONVERGENCE VALUE. ESTIMATES
CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

SLOW CONVERGENCE DUE TO PARAMETER 15. THE LOGLIKELIHOOD DERIVATIVE FOR THIS PARAMETER IS 0.61041417D-02."

My model looks like this:

CLUSTER = Group F_ID1;

ANALYSIS: TYPE = THREELEVEL;

MODEL: %WITHIN%
iw sw | Ext1@0 Ext2@1 Ext3@2 Ext4@3;
%BETWEEN F_ID1%
ib2 sb2 | Ext1@0 Ext2@1 Ext3@2 Ext4@3;
%BETWEEN Group%
ib3 sb3 | Ext1@0 Ext2@1 Ext3@2 Ext4@3;
Ext1-Ext4@0;

OUTPUT: TECH1 TECH8;

Can you please point me to literature that covers this error and how to solve it? any explanation will also be very helpful.

Perhaps it might be useful to have a look at the FAQ on our website called
