I am interested in evaluating the relationship between the latent class variable on a distal observed outcome as discussed in Asparouhova & Muthén (2014). I already fit models for continuous distal outcomes using mplus authomatic procedures (options: e, dcon, du3step, de3step). I also would like to use such methods for a binary distal outcome. Is there any other methods (besides that proposed by Lanza et al, 2013, using dcat option) in Mplus? |

Have you read this paper on our website? Asparouhov, T. & Muthén, B. (2014). Auxiliary variables in mixture modeling: Using the BCH method in Mplus to estimate a distal outcome model and an arbitrary second model. Web note 21. |

Thanks. I think I used it and obtained exactly same estimates from those in Lanza's method for our dataset. Thus I thought it was wrong. I will verify that again. Many thanks. |
