I am interested in evaluating the relationship between the latent class variable on a distal observed
outcome as discussed in Asparouhova & Muthén (2014). I already fit models for continuous distal outcomes using mplus authomatic procedures (options: e, dcon, du3step, de3step).

I also would like to use such methods for a binary distal outcome. Is there any other methods (besides that proposed by Lanza et al, 2013, using dcat option) in Mplus?

Have you read this paper on our website?

Asparouhov, T. & Muthén, B. (2014). Auxiliary variables in mixture modeling: Using the BCH method in Mplus to estimate a distal outcome model and an arbitrary second model. Web note 21.

Thanks. I think I used it and obtained exactly same estimates from those in Lanza's method for our dataset. Thus I thought it was wrong.

I will verify that again. Many thanks.
