Hello Mplus users, I ran LPA analysis using Mplus, produced the outputs and have couple of questions: 1. I have warning: "All variables are uncorrelated with all other variables within class. Check that this is what is intended" Should I address this warning? What is it indicating? I used just 4 continuous variables in analysis and I think they should be correlated... 2. In summary there is information that I have categorical latent variable C. My doubt is such a variable was not in usevariables in the input... Also I have mean scores, standard errors, and p values for categorical latent variables marked as C#1 C#2 C#3 Could someone clarify please? 3. Finally, I am not sure what is the meaning/interpretation of such information just above results: "Logits for the Classification Probabilities for the Most Likely Latent Class Membership (Column) by Latent Class (Row)" Please if someone could clarify ... Thank you for all your help and comments |

Take a look at the Topic 5 video and handout from our short courses on our website. Further answers: 1. LPA intends to have uncorrelatedness within classes. That does not imply that the variable are uncorrelated - they are correlated because they are influenced by the same latent class variable. 2. We need to see your output to be able to say - send to Mplus Support along with your license number. 3. Answered in our short course. |
