I am estimating a two-level growth model with an ordered categorical outcome over five waves. When I include three random effects (age, age squared, and intercept) I can predict between-subject variation in each of them with fixed covariates (such as gender). There is an intercept listed for each of the two slopes but none for the intercepts, as expected. This is fine.

But when I add several fixed time-varying variables to the within-subjects part of the model (mean slopes estimated with variances resricted to zero) there is no equation shown for the intercepts in the output (only the variance is shown). In the input I do specify an intercepts equation but this gets ignored with no errors listed. Any hunches for what went wrong?
