Hello Drs. Muthen,

I am trying to run a bivariate latent growth model with a latent interaction between one of the intercepts and another variable that is observed (but have made it latent by fixing the variance @0). For example:

z by variable@1;
variable@0;

Then, I specify a latent interaction that I want to predict to a slope:

interact | interceptX XWITH z;
slopeY on interact;

I correlate the residuals across processes at each time point; however,
I get the following error message:

THE ESTIMATED COVARIANCE MATRIX COULD NOT BE INVERTED.

COMPUTATION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED IN ITERATION 1.

CHANGE YOUR MODEL AND/OR STARTING VALUES.

Any suggestions to get this model to run? It might be more helpful if I send you all my files. Please let me know and thank you in advance.
