bollen (2006) following joreskog (2001) writes that the means of all the latent growth factors in a LCM with binary repeated measures may be estimated if the repeated measure threshholds and latent growth factor variances are fixed (to zero). how can this so-called "auxillary threshold model" be programed in M+? i've tried this parameterization for a quadratic LCM with binary repeated measures and have encountered difficulty constraining the thresholds. any advice or code would be great.

You can fix the thresholds of a binary variable u measured at four time points to zero by the following statement:

[u1$1-u4$1@0];

If this does not answer your question, you should send your input, data, output, and license number to support@statmodel.com.
