I am trying to output posterior probabilities and will like to merge the output datafile with the master dataset on the ID variable. The ID variables in the master dataset has 7 digits (length = 7)and the ID's vary from 0000026 to 0547366 however,in the MPlus output datafile all zero's to the left of a NON-ZERO digit are replaced with blanks (i.e, in the output the original ID reads 26 or 547366) and as a result I am unable to merge the output datafile with the master dataset. Is there something I can write in the input to make sure the ID's in the output datafile match the ID 's in the master dataset (i.e., the zero's on the left are not relaced with a blank) ?

Thanks

There is no way to change this in Mplus. One suggestion is to open the save file in Excel and use the TEXT function to create a new column that will add back the leading 0’s.
